Just like Daddy

While we were shopping in Bozeman over Thanksgiving we found a bucking bull in the quater machine in the mall. We let Maizy ride it a took a picture for Adam, to rekindle some old memories even if it was just for a minute. I am sure glad he gave up that sport when we met!
It's even got a real bull rope on it.

Helping Mama

Maizy helped me to laundry last night. She may have a little work to do on her folding skills, but she sure looks cute in the laundry basket.

New friends to add to our already too big farm!

Maizy got some new pets yesterday. There was a benfit auction for a guy that lives here in the valley that has tourettes and is looking to raise money for a surgery. One of the dairys donated these little guys to the auction and we ended up bringing 3 of them home. They are pretty fun right now, still bottle feeding and kicking around and playin. Maizy hasn't got to spend much time with them yet, its been too cold. But hopefully soon we will get to go play with them. No names yet, (don't they say not to name something your going to eat, oh well!) but when we think of some I will post them. Any ideas would be helpful.

Growing up too fast!

We had a friend over last night with her three little girls to play with Maizy. She couldn't believe how fast Maizy is growing and how much "stuff" she can already do. Maizy is 6 months old and only needs two fingers to hold on to to walk around. She has incredible balance and such strong legs. It drives her crazy to lay down anymore, she has to be sitting in front of a pile of toys to keep her occupied or standing up. She can't pull helself up yet, but if we stand her up next to the couch she will hold on and stand there for a long time. Adam showed her how to stand up in her play pin the other day, scared me half to death to come into the room to see her standing up by herslef holding onto the side. I told him to stop showing her all those things that we are going to regret later, but he thinks its so cute seeing a little miget doing big people stuff. I better hold on tight cause I have a feeling the next couple months are going to fly by and she is going to be mobile all over the house before I am ready!

Maizy's First Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving and the weekend in Belgrade with Korrie and Joe in their new house. We love going over there to visit them, I miss living close to my sister soooo much! We spent the day Thursday just vegging at home, eating Turkey Dinner and taking Maizy for walks so we didn't feel so miserable. Then Friday we hit the shopping centers. Not at 5am however! It was really fun to shop with my sister, mom, and daughter. We had to good day just speding time together, and money! ;-) Firday afternoon we decorated Korrie and Joe's Christmas Tree. Maizy even got to help. She will be a much better help when it come to taking the tree down beings that pretty much all she did was take ornaments off the tree.

Great Grammy Joy bought her her first christmas hat. And my mom got her the "Baby's Firt Christmas" snowman. She likes to chew on the carrot nose.

On our way to church. She looked so cute I couldn't help but take pictures of her.
Tummy time on the floor. She is pulling her legs up under her now. Ready to crawl soon!
Her new Bebe Pod with lots of toys to play with.
Playing on the floor with Daddy.

Another little scrapbook page.

No Trick or Treating for this baby... She rode ponies instead!

Adam has to work the afternoon of Halloween so Maizy and I went with him. He shoes for a lady in Florence that owns a pony farm. Suzi couldn't resist getting Maizy on her first Shetland Pony. She has been in the saddle with Adam and I before but this was her first time all by herself in a saddle that almost fit her. And the pony was just her size. At 5 months, she is the youngest to ever ride at Parsons Pony Farm.
A true CowBaby at heart.

Some updates Pics of Maizy.

Peeking out of her towel, after her favorite thing in the world... a bath.
She has figured out how to open the cupboard doors. She smiles when she lets go and it makes a noise.

Pretty baby in the dressing room mirror... while Aunite tried on clothes, imagine that!

Sniggles with Sadie.
She was the cutest baby in church on Sunday with a borwn polka dot ribbon in her hair to match her bib and shoes.

Sitting all by herself.

Tummy Time on Mama and Daddy's bed.

Big smiles.

Maizy was a Little Lamb

Maizy's Halloween costume showed up in the mail this week. We wanted to take some pictures while the weather was nice. Probably going to snow on Halloween so we took advantage of the beautiful weekend.

She was ready for a nap, so no big smiles. But she was adorable anyway. I got a 6 to 12 month so I could put winter clothes under it, just in case.

Fun on the Farm

This weekend Adam had to drive to Reno to pick up a Backhoe for a friend. When he got home 5:30am Sunday morning, and after a four hour nap, we decided to work around our property a little. Maizy wanted to help so we bundled up in the new hat we got this week and headed out doors.

I picked this hat out for my baby long before Adam and I were even married. There is a cute blue one too. I wanted to buy both of them a couple years ago but decided against it. I was so excited when I found it in Bozeman when Korrie and I were shopping.
Maizy was helping Daddy drive the backhoe spreading our pile of horse manure.

Sitting in the steering wheel, looking pretty sleepy.
Not sure if she is awake or sleeping, but she looks pretty confy in Daddy's arms.
And she's asleep.
Big day on the tractor wears little baby out.

There's no more leaves on our trees, sad. :-(

Doodle Bug's Cozy Winter Clothes, Standing All By Herself, and Fun Games with Mama

A couple weeks ago I consigned some baby clothes at a Bi-Annual kids sales in Hamilton called "My Kids Closet". People bring clothes there that are slightly used and in good condition from their children and sell them for REALLY cheap. Being a consigner I got the hit the presale, along with 340 other consigners, and got bags and bags of cute clothes, winter coats, shoes... you name it, all for $43.00. I can't imagine what it would have cost me to buy all that in the store. I think I have become a "My Kids Closet" Lifer. ;-)
Maizy got this cute snow suit along with another one that will keep her cozy warm this winter.
Daddy likes to take pictures of Maizy all bundled up. I wish I could fit in a snow suit like this one, it seems so comfy.
Baby girl had decided it is time to stand all by herself, AT 4 1/2 MONTHS OLD!! Her legs are so strong she just hold herself right up. She is still really wobbly, but for not even being 5 months old she is doing very well. Look out Mama when she starts to walk! Hopefully she will give me a few more months.

Maizy likes to lay on her belly on my knees and fly in the air. She thinks its fun to play peek-a-boo behind them too. She will put face down on my legs so she can't see me and then lift it up and smile when I say "Boo". When we play like this I am lucky to not get a big string on drool on my face. Doodle Bug is a drool monster.

Still likes the swaddle.

Baby girl is still a swaddler, not even just a swaddler, but a double swaddler. She gets wrapped first in a hospital or flannel blanket, and then in a cozy blanket. But we have to make sure the cozy blanket is touching her face cause she likes to feel it as she falls asleep. How these babies have an opinion already beats me! ;-)

Hat and Mittens Time...

It's getting to be a little chilly here, okay alot chiully. Maizy, Korrie and I all went shopping a couple weekends ago and bought Maizy a new hat and mittens. She got the chance to wear then this weeke when the remperature took a plunge. I think they are just adorable, of course I think everything is adorable on her. She makes my heart smile.

Almost all of the pictures we have of her, her little feet are a blurr because she is constantly kicking them. Daddy taught her how to spur already!
