Rice cereal & My New Bouncer...

A friend gave Maizy this bouncer, and she loves playing in it. It's funny though, she can't quite reach putting the Lion ande Elephant on the teeter totter in her mouth and it makes her so mad. She gets all red faced and screams. So its Rice Cereal time. We went about it the first time with no clothes, just in case. Good thing we did. She had it in her hair, under her double chin, armpits, and pretty much anywhere else she could get it in a matter of 3 minutes. She seemed to like it pretty well though, the bit of apple juice seemed to help.

Yep, she thought it was pretty funny to talk with her mouth full. Actually she is probably laughing that the face Daddy was making when she laughed and the cereal came flying out.
But it all turned out in the end. After Mommy scrubbed for a good 15 minutes, that is!

Maizy's First Vacation

On September 7th, after Maizy was in her first wedding at 3 months old, we hit the road in our motorhome headed for Lake Powell, UT. Baby was a trooper while we were traveling, probably becasue we didn't have her in her car seat unless it was nap time. She LOVED it!
We stayed the first night in the Lake Powell Resort and played in the swimming pool. Maizy did get much swimming time though becasue the pool was a little too cold and the hot tub was a little too hot. So she mostly just kicked her feet in the water, sporting a fancy new bikini.
The next day we boarded the house boat. Good thing we got the big one, Maizy thought it was important to bring ALL her toys, clothes and blankies. She took up the whole extra bed by herself. We spent 4 wonderfully warm, fun and relaxing days putting around the lake, diving off rocks, going down the slide into the water, fishing, eating, and just enjoying each others company. Daddy and Uncle Joe found Maizy her own little pool in a rock next to the lake where she played in warm water and of course Auntie Korrie used it for a photo opp.
Over all it was a super fun vaca, but we were glad to get back to solid ground when it was time to take the boat back.

Adam and I's anniversary was the 18th of this month, and oh what a year it has been. Mostly good, sometimes bad, but all in all I wouldn't change it for the world. I love him now more than ever and we continue to have more and more fun each and every day. Our relationship keeps growing closer and closer, thank you to our good Lord above. Without Him we would be nothing.

It's already been three months since Maizy was born. Half of the time it seems like it has flown by, and the other half seem like she has been in our lives for ever. We wouldn't know what to do without her. She is amazing, getting more and more interactive every day and her smile melts her daddy and I's heart daily. She is the most amazing gift, given to us straight from God. He is good!

We bought a little pickup camper this past week, so we are headed to the lake and SOOOO excited to not have to camp in the horse trailer. Heat, toilet, shower, stove, table... ahhh what a great time its going to be. Not that we didn't like "roughing it" but with a 13 weeks old baby the camper will be much easier. She is a trooper though, pretty much anything Mom and Dad are up for she is happy tagging along. Camping, Polo, Fishing, Traveling to Belgrade... whatever the task may be, Maizy is a super good sport about it. Really wanting to buy a video camera so that we can record all these adventures we go on with the kiddo, but for now pictures will have to work. Hopefully I will get some this weekend so I can post more on this blog. Later.

PS. Happy Anniversary to Clint and Corrine, the day after ours!

A little update...

Well we are working on 2 1/2 months now. Maizy had her 2 month check up last week. She is in the 45th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. She is going to be a tall girl, just like her Mama. The verdict is still our on who she looks like. At first everyone thought she looked like Adam, but as she fills out more and puts on some chub she is looking more like me. Some of her favorite things right now are being outside looking at trees, taking a bath (still), and laying on our bed coo and smiling at Adam and I when we talk to her. Her favortie baby sitters are my Aunt Tammie and her kiddos Ashlynn and Bobby. They love to play with her all day, and she loves the attention. It's worth the drive to Stevensville in the morning to take her there.

Her Daddy has her in a cowboy hat already! And quite frankly I think she looks pretty darn cute in it. I will try and keep posting as time goes by, its so hard to find time these days. ;-)

7 1/2 weeks!!! I can hardly believe it. Maizy is growing so big and starting to interact with Adam and I already. She loves to play when she is awake. Her favorite... when I move her legs like she is riding a bicycle. She smiles and coos. Her smile melts me heart. She gives it a whole hearted effort... eyes, tounge and everything. And she loves to look around to see what is happening around her. She can't quite giggle yet but she is so close. She makes little cooing noises that I am sure are soon to turn to giggles. We are headed to Belgrade this weekend to see Auntie Korrie and Uncle Joe. Korrie hasn't seen her for 3 weeks or so, and she has changed so much since then. It should be a fun time. Until next time...

The last few weeks...

Wow... what an amazing 6 weeks we have had with Maizy. She is so beautiful. She has had so many adventures in the last six weeks, and she loves all of them. We have been to Bozeman to see Auntie Korrie and Uncle Joe, Billings to see Adam's family, spent the weekend in Missoula while Adam played polo, camping, boating, 4-wheeling, and fishing. Some people don't get to do that in their whole life time and Maizy is on 6 weeks old!

Yes, I will admit she might be a little spoiled. To all new mothers a word of advice... Don't let your new born baby sleep with you. I know, I know its hard not to let them sleep with you that first night you bring them home... but it's even harder to put them in thier own bed once you are used to sleeping with them!

Maizy melts our hearts more and more every day. She has grown so much in the last few weeks. She must be up to about 9 pounds now, I didn't realize that babies grew that fast. Mama is headed back to work this week. I will be working half days while Daddy and Grandma Cheryl tag team the babysitting.

Where has the time gone, I have not idea. But I do know we are treasuring every minute with our little bundle of joy. She has brought so much love you our home and I can't wait to see all the fun things we get to do together in the future.
